farm animals (not lab) So, you want to study farm animals in your study.

Designing experiments in farms can be difficult as you will often have limited control over extraneous variables (e.g., feeding times, groups sizes, husbandry, work routine, turnout can all change on a regular basis!). Make sure that you make a note of any potential sources of uncontrolled variability before you start data collection, as these may need to be accounted for in your data analysis.
