Download R for Windows, Mac OS or Linux from here.
The statistics on this site will be calculated using the programme R. R is available as Free Software under the terms of the Free Software Foundation's GNU General Public License in source code form. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms and similar systems (including FreeBSD and Linux), Windows and MacOS.
Before starting, you will need to download the free statistical and graphics software 'R' by clicking the icon above. This will take you to the R site, where you can follow download instructions.

There are several excellent R resources online, such as Quick-R to help you get started, although we will cover many of the basics on this site.
